I write about art, culture, food, travel, the Midwest, and where they intersect. My work has appeared in publications including The MICHELIN Guide, Condé Nast Traveler, PAPER, VICE, Food52, them., Grindr, and Hello Mr. I'm currently at work on a book.
By day, I'm chief marketing officer at Consumer Reports, one of America's most trusted nonprofits and largest publishing platforms. Previously, I served as chief marketing officer at Stack Overflow, where I led marketing and communications for the company's global software business and developer community through its $1.8B acquisition by Prosus. Before Stack Overflow, I ran marketing for GLG and spent three years at Group SJR, a WPP agency, leading work for clients like General Electric, Goldman Sachs, TED, and Xerox.
Originally from Dubuque, Iowa, I studied creative writing and political science at Washington University in St. Louis. I live in Brooklyn.
